There are not many ducks to report about. Most of the ducks are in the Katy area, but not moving. Maybe with some pressure this weekend they might move a little more.

Today we got sent to the hospital to induce labor. After several hours they stoped and are going to try something different around midnight and 3 am, so I will be at the hospital overnight. I will keep everyday posted Thursday on what happens. Did not have time to spell check so sorry!!

If you hunted today you know what I mean. As the rain was beating down on you with the wind blowing you over, and the lighting overhead. We layed there wondering what in the world are we doing out here. So I said my morning prayers and just laid back and enjoyed the light show. Then the first group of ducks came in, which remind me why we were there. Most people waited in there trucks until the rain and lighting passed, or they went home and did not want to brave the elements (which I don’t blame them). Once the rain let up a bit and started clearing out, it was a good morning to be out there.
We shot all of our Pintails. And some Blue-wing Teal, Green-wing Teal, and Spoonies. The birds worked beautiful, matter of fact the Teal got to close a few times. In the end we killed 19 ducks. There are good numbers of ducks around as long as there is some pressure to keep them moving. Still holding lots of geese.
